Understanding The Differences in Each Child

In this episode, we really dive into the differences in each child, their milestones, and the ways that they reach those milestones in relation to others. We focus on not comparing children to others, and that common markers are helpful, but not the be-all and end all in child development.
Also discussed is the change in parent teacher relations as time has progressed, and how being too involved in dictating the teacher's actions can potentially be more harmful than helpful. We discuss tactics and tips for conversing and becoming a team with your children's teachers for the best growth trajectory.
Elisabeth Stitt is a retired teacher of 25 years, a certified co-active parenting coach, author, and mother. Elisabeth is passionate about the individuality in children and that fostering that individuality is the key to success as they grow.
This episode is a first hand account of how teachers can be the best partners in child development and often have different but helpful tactics on getting the best from your children.

Empowerment beyond ADHD, Dyslexia, Anxiety and more.

Hi there! I’m Ashleigh and I’m stoked you are here. I am a messy bun, yoga pants enthusiast mom who admittedly does not have it all together. I live the life of an overly tired, underpaid, personal assistant to 7-year-old twins with Sensory Processing Disorder, ADHD, and Anxiety finding joy in between the struggles and challenges.

These 'extra' traits are the spark behind the 'Parenting That Kid' blog and podcast.

You’ll quickly find out that you do not need to have it all together to live a fulfilling life with your neuro sensitive child. With some extra support and tools, you can find enjoyment and empower your child to Thrive, Learn, and Play beyond their unique challenges.
